Winter Coat Distribution Set for Nov. 16 | Girls Coats

Members of Meridian Knights of Columbus Council #802 look through coats to be delivered with Ricky Hood, director of Boys and Girls Club of East Mississippi. The Knights provided more than 100 coats to the Boys and Girls Club of East Mississippi for distribution to children in need of a warm coat. This decade-long program has impacted children in the greater Meridian area. Project director, William Nix, says, "For Children without a warm coat it’s hard to study well, it’s hard to play well.”

Although not all of their clothing is certified organic, there are no synthetic fibers used in any of their fabrics. MilkBarn was founded by a mother-daughter pair who work together to incorporate the daughter’s artistic talent with the mother’s design abilities to create lovely, unique baby items.

With a team of local partners including architect Zehren & Associates, Evans Chaffee Construction Group, and Alpine Bank in Avon as the construction lender, the project has become a true labor of love by professionals who also call this community home.

Next year, she will expect to wear a real princess dress costume.”

Keeping Bash’s hands warm was our biggest battle last winter — a battle that he won most of the time to our dismay and his cold hands. When he was a baby, we could do a lot of tucking under blankets in the stroller. Now that he spends so much time outside, mittens are a must. A couple of tips: Mittens are much easier to put on than gloves, especially for younger toddlers; and stock up on a few pairs made for various occasions because you will inevitably lose some.

Just a few weeks earlier, her boyfriend of two years, Travis Scott, told Rolling Stone that he has been thinking about marriage.

She added that the best gifts she ever had were those handmade for her, including blankets and a futon, or Japanese quilted mattress.
