Venezuelans find mercy in arduous exodus from tumult | Kids Coat Girls

During each holiday season, as a part of the senior leadership project, the Celtics will find a local family in the community with young kids that are in need — the family is usually selected through churches or schools. 

The attackers are described as young, African-American girls around high school age and standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall. The three were wearing different-colored coats, including a gray jacket, a silver puffy jacket and a purple coat.

“It was pretty awesome to watch the kids go into a room and pick out brand new jackets. They sent the first group in and these were kids who had never had a new jacket in their lives,” Boham said. “Not only that, there were a couple of kids who came up to us and said they had received their first new coat a few years ago and still have it. We have people who donate every year and each year we have received more coats. It feels like it’s a bit slower this year and maybe that’s due to the number of people affected by the fires and people have donated to that, but the feedback and support we have gotten has been awesome.”

Decathlon is known for its good value yet technical outdoor gear and we found this one kept our tester completely dry even in seriously heavy rain. The fabric feels crunchier than some of the other jackets and we found it wasn’t as warm in the wind as some of the more expensive brands, but it is breathable and lightweight, and folds up into a school backpack. Our older tester liked the contrasting fluoro zip design on the black version, which also provided good reflectivity at night, and the headphone tag on the inside stopped his wires getting in a tangle. 

“What’s a Dick Van Dyke?” was the punchline to an anecdote Rose Marie liked to tell about how she was offered a role on The Dick Van Dyke Show. Short answer: He’s a national treasure. As his Golden Globes appearance last night charmingly reminded us, the real magic in Mary Poppins Returns is the sight of Van Dyke — 92! — doing the same energetic dance step he performed almost 60 years ago in “Jealousy,” a first season episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show.

129. “Stretch Petrie vs. Kid Schenk” (Season 4, Episode 14)Neil Schenk (comedian Jack Carter) is an obnoxious character from out of the Petries’ past. Rob feels indebted to the pushy and opportunistic Neil because he was responsible for Rob’s big professional break. Not a particularly funny episode, but further establishes Rob as a character of integrity.
