After posting her story online and seeking contributions, Greenwood gathered enough goods in less than a week to more than double the original haul and hand off an extra $1,000.

“It’s actually a lot of fun being able to do something that’s not for you and give to other people,” McNary senior Alfredo Villareal said. “That’s honestly the best part of Christmas and this time of year.”

Proceeds from their online sales are donated to the Children’s Home Orphanage in Gujarat, India in order to provide the 35 children there with healthy food, clean water, and shelter.
