I don’t want my own children to mock femininity. I don’t want them to laugh at "girly" things or to treat "girly" people as inferior. I don’t want them to turn their noses up at fashion or beauty, as if these outlets (despite their room for improvement) do not offer creative expression to the multitudes. They may someday reject traditional femininity (and things like the leopard print-hooded coat I dressed my eldest in this year along with it). In the meantime, however, I want to expose them to little things like dressing up so that they may learn there is nothing inherently wrong with doing so.

I have the purple-gray and the soft blue, both really pretty colors that are not horrid looking on my pale skin.”

That kind of enthusiasm is exactly what Jim and Lisa Knox hoped to generate with their idea, with their son’s memory getting a boost out of every wrist shot and every wheel that glides across the rink.

So it did serve this purpose. And I will say that I was smart enough (thank you very much) to buy the summery dress in the size that she would be during those warmer months (pro mom tip for ya there… You’re welcome).

The kids r grown and not under their dad and mom’s roof,so it shouldn’t matter. It’s their life!!!

Sometimes, it’s a diaper leaking. That’s a fun one. (And yeah, THAT’s gonna need a real washing before reuse…)
