In general, a very lightweight jacket is less durable—but more comfortable in the summer—than a heavy-duty one, which would hold up better under a heavy backpack during a serious expedition. One simple indicator of how robust the jacket is to check its actual weight, which will be measured in ounces. For example, a lightweight jacket could weigh just around 6 ounces, whereas a gnarly, heavyweight item could be over a pound.

Rompers are the best. They are simple, easy to get on and off, and so cozy. While many parents only use these for pajamas, I often leave this on Max all day long, as it is just too comfortable.  For long travel days, this is my number one go-to as well. This romper paired with the down bunting by Patagonia (see below) is the ultimate winter combo for babies. When we go cross-country skiing or biking with him in his Chariot Modular Stroller, he is always in this romper.

27. “Never Name a Duck” (Season 2, Episode 1)Larry Matthews’ finest half hour and a very special episode about the death of a pet to which all families can relate. The last five minutes dispense with the jokes for a heart-to-heart between Rob and the heartbroken Ritchie about real love vs. selfish love. Also of note are the revamped opening credits featuring Ron’s iconic trip over the living room ottoman. This audience-grabber, along with the show’s fortuitous move in the schedule to follow the hit show The Beverly Hillbillies, are credited with saving the show from cancellation.

As Jim predicted, the final cost topped $250,000, funded privately through donations that included a sizeable gift from the McConnell Foundation. The Knox family also poured their own money into the project, which has a lot of bells and whistles and plans for a "Phase II" to put an open-air roof over the rink.

I loved little wrap shirts that didn’t even have to go on and off over the newborn’s head, and footed PJs that were an outfit in one piece, made of stretchy fabric that was easy to get little limbs in and out of.

37. “Dear Sally Rogers” (Season 5, Episode 21)The funniest of the lovelorn Sally episodes. Her relationship with Herman Glimsher on the rocks, Sally advertises for a man on Stevie Parson’s late night talk show. Among the funny responses, one is seriously romantic and Rob conspires with Parsons to surprise Sally on the show.
