Once a tot is more like a year old and beginning to walk, comfortable shoes may be good to protect the feet while outdoors, but that is a waaaaays off.

That’s no surprise, considering his favorite Blue Jackets were captain Nick Foligno and Jody Shelley, who’s now the Jackets’ TV analyst. Jim and Thomas got matching Foligno jerseys during the 2015 NHL All-Star weekend in Columbus – and had the captain sign both – and Thomas revered Shelley after the retired Jackets enforcer talked to his team before a game at Nationwide Arena. 

There are plenty of balmy winter days when that big puffy jacket is overkill. Likewise, there are lots of less-than-zero winter days when you want to keep wearing a jacket indoors or maybe enjoying drinks on a sunny deck. Made from recycled polyester and 700-fill recycled down, this insulating shacket cuts the chill without a lot of bulk. It also makes for an outstanding mid layer.

They have a lot of unique pieces like sleeveless rompers, kimono style onesies (pictured above), newborn wrap shirts, and hoodies with nice wide necks to fit over those big baby heads. And of course, all of their clothes are crafted using 100% organic cotton.

This is a good no-frills waterproof set at a very decent price. It was the lightest on test and fits easily into a zip case, so it would work well for school day-trips or walks in the countryside. The waterproofing held up well enough on test though our tester said he felt colder in the rain in this jacket than the others, which makes sense as the fabric is thin and not especially breathable; none of this should matter if you have a decent jumper or fleece underneath though. As it’s only available in black, it’s not ideal for cyclists but there are reflective strips on the back.
